Welcome to Joyland Preschool/Childcare
Trusted Childcare for Your Little Ones
Our Philosophy
At Joyland Preschool/Childcare, we believe that every child is unique and deserves a nurturing and stimulating environment to learn and grow. Our philosophy is centered around the child, where we focus on their physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development. Our curriculum is a guideline to our teaching, but can be adjusted based on the needs of the students at that time.
Our programs are designed to encourage creativity, curiosity, and exploration, while also promoting confidence, independence, and self-esteem. We strive to provide a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere where children feel safe, loved, and valued.
How We are Different
We are independently owned, not part of a chain, which means we have no board of directors and only one owner who is on-site. If a problem arises then it can be attended to immediately. Also, our turn over is very low, with our average staff member being with us five years. The biggest difference is that we truly care about the children we serve. Both the owner and director as well as the teacher’s have chosen their career fields because they care about the children and it is their passion. We also offer competitive pricing and flexible schedules to meed the needs of working parents.
Health & Safety
The health and safety of your child is our top priority at Joyland Preschool/Childcare. We maintain a clean and hygienic environment, and follow strict protocols for illness prevention and management. Our center is cleaned nightly by a local cleaning crew.
Our staff is trained in CPR, first aid, and emergency preparedness, and we conduct regular safety drills to ensure everyone is prepared in case of an emergency. We also have secure facilities with restricted access, and all visitors are required to sign in and out. You can rest assured that your child is in good hands with us.
Our Curriculum & Assessments
At Joyland we use Creative Curriculum, an evidenced based, learning curriculum for children ages birth through 5. It is used to set objectives for each of our classes, set the standards for our portfolios, write our lesson plans and classroom assessments. Assessments are done by teachers and given out three times per year to parents so that you can monitor their development.
A curriculum is the what, why, how and why of a program. It guides in planning and offering excellent care and education to the children that it serves. It helps us to be intentional about the experiences that we offer while still having the flexibility to change the program to meet the needs and interests of the children in our care.

Developed by the company Teaching Strategies, Creative Curriculum has helped early childhood educators across the country to plan and implement content-rich, developmentally appropriate programs that support active learning and promote children’s progress in all developmental areas.
